I purchased this ‘heavy duty’ shaver to help get rid of some of the pilling on my couch. The thing just STOPS. I thought perhaps the pills on the couch might be too much for any shaver, so I tried it one a sweater. A little better – started to get rid of the pills – then it STOPPED AGAIN. I don’t know if this thing is defective, but I doubt it – it’s most likely just poorly made to begin with. Sigh. My search for a decent shaver continues.

I had no trouble with this shaver stopping, but it ate holes in all my cashmere sweaters. It’s fine for less delicate knits and polarfleece, though. It does have a very wide head for shaving, and having an AC cord means it doesn’t lose power.

I was looking for a fabric shaver that had a 2″ head and an AC adapter. This was it! It works very efficiently, and considering how many options are out there, this one was the best value I could find. Just be careful on certain fabrics. I ripped a whole in one of my light sweaters.
